Alright, welcome back. And today we’re doing something a little different as I’m continuing my trip in Asia, in the Philippines, and I’m now in Dumaguete. I arrived here just a couple days ago on Monday, and the moment we landed, I saw the news that uh many of you have reached out to me about, making sure that we’re okay. So, first of all, thank you guys for reaching out. Appreciate that to our clients and vendors. Uh, fortunately, we’re safe here in Dumaguete. We’re on another island, but the island just south of us, just right stones throw away almost, what that you could actually see when we’re driving around the southern part of this island, um, they were devastatedly hit with an earthquake uh the very south of that island, uh 7.8 earthquake. And I think some of you guys might have seen the clips, the crazy videos. There’s a lot of buildings that are on footage being uh collapsed from the earthquake, people shaking violently around. And as I last saw here earlier today, uh about a hundred people have already lost their lives, and countless others have been injured, and plus, not to mention people losing their homes, their places of work, and so it’s greatly impacted the community down there. And for those of you guys who have known me for many years, you’ll know that you know when disasters strike the Philippines, they don’t have much here, and so I really try to step up when I can and organize some kind of effort to raise some funds, bring some more awareness to people in the US to the pain and suffering that’s happening here in the Philippines. And this is no different. Wanted to do this episode, and instead of doing an interview this week, I wanted to let you guys know about what’s happening here in the Philippines and how you could help support. This has just happened so recently that you know the government is still organizing their efforts on how people can help, and we are as well. So, as of filming right now, I don’t have the specific details on how we’ll be able to do this, but we’ll work with uh announcing an organization or two that you guys can donate funds to where the money goes directly to the people there. We do have at least one employee I was informed that lives in that region since we have people that work all across the Philippines, and thankfully they’re okay. But we know that there are a lot of people down there that are suffering, and it’s gonna take a long time for recovery for that region for infrastructure roads or bridges that are collapsed. And so stay tuned. We’ll have more information here soon. On we’ll post it on our socials at bizwitheric where you can find out. We’ll uh post details once we get the specifics of where you could donate or if we’re able to collect any funds as well. I know we’re gonna open it up for our clients and vendors as well and be reaching out just to let them know if they do have some extra funds to put towards this, be greatly appreciated. You know, we’re all fortunate enough as maybe a lot of people watching the show, as business leaders, to be in a situation to help when opportunities like this come up. And we have these core values at Pac Biz: family, respect, teamwork, compassion, and personal growth. And for us, especially the compassion one, when things happen like this in the Philippines, and it hits pretty close to home, being the neighboring island just south of us here. And it’s the island that my my mom is actually from, and a lot of our family, and we have a lot of workers who have connections to that island as well. And so stay tuned. We’ll make an announcement here in the near future on how you could help out. And but we are all safe here at Pac Biz and uh here in Dumaguete. But it is crazy though. I will say, seeing the videos, because it looks like places that it looks like buildings just like these right here. SM Mall, Jolly Bee, it’s the same stuff that’s in all throughout the Philippines. So it does hit kind of close to home. And literally, as we were landing, we saw the news of what happened there. And so thank you guys in advance. I know the people that we have a lot of subscribers that are also share those core values, and so if you do have the ability to help give back and and help donate to the cause, we really appreciate it from all of us here at PacBiz and people of the Philippines. Because again, you know, if you guys haven’t visited a place like the Philippines, you’re missing out, but it is so much different than maybe what your life is like in the UK, in Canada, in the US, where a lot of our what a lot of people that might be watching reside, live, work, play. And so, you know, there’s a lot of people that don’t have much, and they don’t have the kind of network and savings and support that we might have in the US to help out in times like this. So there’s a great opportunity for being able to step up. And so I’m really really looking forward to what we’ll be able to do as Pac Biz. I know we’re going to contribute as well, and we’re gonna open it up to our staff. And every time something like this happens, whether it’s a fire, flood, typhoon, earthquake, they get hit with everything here, and our our people really step up. So so be on the lookout for more news, and that’s it for this episode for this week. I just wanted to get this out. This just happened Monday here in the Philippines, and as of recording, it’s uh Wednesday evening. So we’re gonna be able to get more information out soon. But thank you guys for watching. We should have some regular episodes coming back again soon next week. So stay tuned for that. We’re gonna keep coming out with new shows every week, and we’ll talk more about how you guys can help out with the earthquake that happened in Mindanao in the Philippines. So until then, thank you guys for listening and watching. And if you want to, if you’re not subscribed, you came across this somehow. Make sure that you look for Unfinished Business with Eric Mulvin on iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts. You can find us on YouTube, at BizWithEric, and on social media. And until next week, we’ll catch you guys on the next episode of Unfinished Business. See you guys later.
