More solutions than ever for fleet owners
Hi everyone, it’s Eric Mulvin, CEO and founder of Pac Biz Outsourcing. From my time being members of the Transportation Alliance as a fleet owner with my taxi company Tru Cab, then as a vendor, first exhibiting in 2016, to this year in 2025, I’ve seen over 15 years of change in one of the most turbulent times of the taxi industry’s existence. This year we saw the most number of new faces from software that promises to do it all for you to other vendors that have seen their business grow supporting taxi and NEMT. Here is a bit of what we saw from the conference.
International Expansion brings new faces: Some companies exhibited for the first time, expanding their scope to the US from the UK, or Europe, or even from Australia.
AI was the buzzword of the conference: From longtime solution providers who have incorporated AI into some part of their solution to new comers who promise new ideas to fleet providers, AI was on the thoughts of a lot of attendees. At the Pac Biz Outsourcing booth we heard a lot of questions around our thoughts on AI. We were happy to share our AI + Human Intelligence approach, not replacing people with AI but enhancing what we do, helping us analyze more information in less time and spend more time with 1 on 1 coaching, less time behind screens. Even in the workshops, topics like “Next Generation Technologies in Motion – AI and Beyond” or “Case Study: Use of Artificial Intelligence in Transportation Systems” were sandwiched between NEMT lessons and policy talks.
NEMT continues to grow and bring new fleet operators: From the Pac Biz booth, we spoke with quite a few fleet owners who are in that 1-4 year growth phase, expanding their fleet, learning about the challenges that long time fleet owners know all too well, but getting stronger each year. There was a growing presence of vendors at Mobilize 2025 that specialize in NEMT including MediRoutes and the NEMTAC organization that specifically supports NEMT.
Innovation brings new solutions: From expanded ways to pay, new ways to support drivers, software to help optimize your fleet and routes, leveraging camera data to help make better decisions, the list goes on and on the ways that innovation can help support the Taxi and NEMT companies in the US and Canada who were attending the conference this past November 2025. Pac Biz was proud to share details about our own software we’ve been developing that will score taxi and NEMT calls automatically and help provide coaching to the agents or dispatchers on the phone.
